Hi! My name is Simon Fraser Jones aka Zap or Zapisodd. (The ODD part stands for Oppositional Defiant Disorder - I have ADHD and I'm a bit of a donkey.)

I am a born and raised Montreal Artist: Musician, Comedian and Poet. I have been performing Live in Parks around the city for the last 25 years, completely Anonymously and without the intent of making money.

Many people know me around the city, but only by sight. I am kind of infamous I suppose on my bike, seen carrying crazy amounts of equipment on it (pic below) and always telling jokes as I go.

I have been hit on my bike in Montreal 12 times over the years, and telling jokes while riding my bike has been a way to decompress so I don't get road rage. :)

I also perform in bars, but I prefer Outdoor performances because it is a much more diverse Audience, and it isn't built around selling alcohol.

Obviously, it is a bit problematic performing outdoors in winters, so I divide my time between writing and recording indoors in winters, and performing live outdoors literally every day in the warmer months.

Two of my most frequented parks are Jeanne-Mance Park and Jarry Park, but I plan to move around a lot more this summer to try and build a following in other parts of the city.

In Parks, I am also known for playing Frisbee, performing Comedy while playing. Frisbee may seem inconsequential, but I have a philosophy built around it in which I believe it is the simple things in life that are really the most amazing, and cost next to nothing at all.

It was never important to me to be 'known', because I kind of like Anonymity, but now I have a lot of material I have developed over the years that I want to share so I'm stepping out of the social shadows and giving people a target to shoot at :).

I am releasing content through YouTube primarily, but also Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

I haven't spent any time building up a following online because I hate self-promotion and it is a skill I am not very good at.

I also busk, but I never pass around a hat or go looking for money when performing in Parks.

As a poet, my goal was never riches, and I am content with very little...

However, if you would like to make a donation, it would help me out a lot, as times have gotten decidely tough. I intend to pursue my art funded entirely by donations, so it would mean a lot to have some support.

Although I speak French fluently, I have tried doing comedy and writing songs in French, and decided that for everybody's sake I would stick to English. Performing in English gives me a limited audience in this province, so support from English speaking people in Montreal would be highly appreciated.
